USD 249 Frontenac Schools Hall of Fame

Gerald Falletti

Inducted 2025

Mr. Falletti graduated from Frontenac High School in 1947. During his time there, he was a dedicated athlete, playing both football and basketball all four years, and a committed leader, serving as a class officer for three years.

Mr. Falletti proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War.

After his service, he attended Fort Scott Junior College before continuing at Kansas State Teachers College, where he played football at both schools. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Education in 1952 and a Master of Education in 1960 from Kansas State Teachers College. His teaching career took him to many schools, including Parsons, Benedictine, Prescott, Louisburg, and West Mineral, before retiring from USD 249 Frontenac.

While at Frontenac, Mr. Falletti wore many hats—teacher, coach, principal, and, in his son’s words, “taste-tester for the cafeteria.” His dedication, sense of humor, and love for education left a lasting impact on every community he served.
