Barney Getto

Inducted 2023

Mr. Getto graduated from FHS in 1925. He returned to Frontenac as a teacher and coach from 1930-1939. In his 10 years of coaching, he guided the football team to 8 conference championships, 3 undefeated seasons, and 82 victories, thereby establishing the rich tradition that Frontenac has enjoyed on the football field. In addition, he coached the track and basketball programs to 4 championships each.
