Mary Ann Gobetz Forbes

For over 30 years, Mrs. Gobetz brought kindness, creativity, and joyful energy to her third-grade classroom in the Frontenac School system. Her classroom made learning feel magical. She celebrated every child’s strengths, created a warm and encouraging environment, and filled her room with excitement through her famous Bubble, a tradition that brought laughter and wonder to generations of students.

Her beloved Treasure Chest rewarded special moments of kindness, effort, and achievement, making every child feel seen and valued. She felt privileged to teach in Frontenac — a special town with outstanding children, parents, and staff.

One of her greatest joys was teaching not only former students, but later their children as well, a full-circle experience that meant the world to her. Former students still say she was “their favorite teacher,” a testament to the lasting impact she made on many young lives.
